Villa Maria Taglioni is one of the very few estates on Lake Como to offer complete privacy and tranquillity below the main road, making it perfectly suited to outdoor living. Guests can also charter a skippered Venetian taxi for the ultimate flexibility, whether for lakeside dining, shopping in Bellagio and Como, or visits to the historic villas and gardens at Balbianello and Melzi — or, as the owner often does, simply enjoy a refreshing swim directly from the traditional stone steps into the clear waters below.

A short walk to the neighbouring village offers the chance to play a spot of tennis at the municipal courts, or sample the cuisine at the highly regarded Ristorante Momi. Back at the villa, the cushioned lounge area on the far side of the pool offers the perfect spot to take in the evening light over a glass of wine, watching the ever-changing colours of the surrounding hills.

For larger groups of up to 26 guests, Villa Maria Taglioni can also be rented alongside its sister property, Villa Maria Serena, offering exclusive use of the wider Ville del Lago estate.
