Grande Maison

Grande Maison is a truly exceptional property — an 18th-century chalet lovingly restored to showcase an abundance of charm, opulent detailing, and an outstanding array of spa and entertainment facilities. Among the finest luxury catered chalets in Morzine, this remarkable property comfortably welcomes between 16 and 20 guests. Grande Maison forms an extension of neighbouring Chalet La Maison, combining the main chalet with an adjoining annex to create one spectacular ultra-luxury offering.

The chalet’s top-floor living spaces are simply magnificent — open-plan, spacious, and finished to the highest standard throughout. Bespoke luxury furnishings sit seamlessly alongside exposed wooden beams and flooring, forming the foundation of Grande Maison’s traditional alpine character. From the sumptuous lounge sofas beneath an elegant chandelier, positioned to make the most of the stunning views over Nantaux Peak, to the warmth of the fireplace, the impressive vaulted roof, and striking modern artwork throughout, every element of the chalet reflects exceptional style and design.

An open central staircase runs from the ground-floor entrance up to the ceiling’s apex, allowing views down over the elegant first-floor dining area from the living space above. Evening meals here become a true celebration, whether enjoying a drink from the bar and floating wine cellar — with its glass floor offering views down to the swimming pool below — watching the private chef at work in the show kitchen, or listening to the baby grand piano set the mood. The annex, home to the owner’s residence, includes its own comfortable lounge with a log fire and an open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar.

Grande Maison also boasts an outstanding selection of wellness facilities. The indoor L-shaped swimming pool features counter-current streams, fountains, and multiple massage jet zones, while guests can also enjoy an indoor hot tub and two further outdoor hot tubs, including one located on the annex’s rooftop. A Hammam and barrel sauna offer further relaxation, while a separate studio provides space for yoga and pilates, alongside gym equipment and a dedicated massage and treatment room.

The chalet offers plenty to keep guests entertained throughout their stay, including a TV snug, a cosy library with armchairs and a swing seat beside the fireplace, and a pool table. A particular highlight is the elegant boudoir positioned between two of the first-floor bedrooms — a striking space featuring bold wallpaper, a glass wall overlooking the chalet’s interior, and comfortable seating, perfect for a quiet retreat.

Grande Maison offers nine bedrooms in total — six within the main chalet and a further three in the owner’s residence. Eight double bedrooms, six of which can be configured as twins, sleep 16 guests and include en-suite shower rooms, while a ninth bedroom offers a quad bunk room for four, located within the owner’s residence alongside two further double/twin rooms. Every bedroom is spacious and elegantly designed, offering a calm, luxurious atmosphere throughout.

A large ski room with boot and glove warmers provides ample space for storage and preparation ahead of a day skiing in the Portes du Soleil. The main chalet and annex are connected via a shared underground garage.

For smaller groups, the main chalet — La Maison — can also be booked independently, accommodating up to 16 guests.

Rates are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 20 guests and include full gourmet catering, an open bar, and in-resort driver service.
