Steeped in history and dating back to the 13th century, L’Edera is a beautifully restored former monastery that has retained its remarkable architectural character while offering the comforts of a luxurious countryside retreat. Rustic elegance defines the interiors, where original stone spiral staircases, exposed timber beams, antique furnishings, and authentic period details create an atmosphere of timeless Umbrian charm.
Constructed from traditional local stone and draped in flourishing ivy beneath classic terracotta-tiled roofs, the estate is arranged as five individual residences, accommodating between two and eight guests each. Connected by picturesque courtyards, flower-filled patios, and softly illuminated stone pathways, the layout offers an ideal balance of privacy and shared spaces for families, friends, and larger groups. At the heart of the estate, a beautiful brick-paved courtyard provides a romantic setting for alfresco gatherings, intimate weddings, and memorable celebrations beneath the Umbrian sky.
The beautifully landscaped gardens invite guests to relax and embrace the peaceful surroundings. A stunning swimming pool enjoys uninterrupted views across the rolling hills, while a fully equipped barbecue area offers the perfect setting for outdoor dining and can easily be transformed into a dance floor for private parties and special occasions.
One of the estate’s most distinctive features is its beautifully restored chapel, thoughtfully converted into an elegant drawing room and dining hall. Adorned with original frescoes, a magnificent open fireplace, and French doors opening onto a grassy terrace, this unique space comfortably accommodates up to 60 guests, making L’Edera an exceptional venue for celebrations, family reunions, weddings, and unforgettable events in the heart of Umbria.
