Chalet Orso in Val d’Isère is a true pearl of a luxury ski chalet, sleeping 10-13 guests in total — the ideal getaway for a group of families or 8-10 adults on a luxury ski holiday to the French Alps. With an extensive range of spa and entertainment facilities, including a swimming pool, and a wonderful location in the peaceful hamlet of Le Fornet, this contemporary alpine chalet is not to be missed.

Chalet Orso spans a generous 520m² of living space, with the main living areas found on the chalet’s upper levels. Combining natural wood interiors with a range of chic modern furnishings, the main lounge sits at the heart of this beautiful property. This spacious room benefits from lofted ceilings and a warming fireplace, though the true highlight is the expansive windows framing gorgeous snowy mountain views up and down the valley. Set behind the main lounge, a convivial dining area can be arranged to seat up to 20 guests for dinner, with delicious gourmet meals served from the closed-off kitchen, styled in a chic matte grey and black palette and fitted with a full range of high-end appliances. From the main living area, guests can step out onto the balcony to enjoy the tranquillity of the Le Fornet hamlet, along with an even greater appreciation of the chalet’s incredible panoramic scenery.

The balcony is also home to a soothing traditional Nordic hot tub, one of many wonderful spa facilities found at Chalet Orso. A lower terrace features a barrel sauna, while indoors guests will find a complete wellness area, styled with cool grey stone interiors and intimate recessed lighting. From the indoor swimming pool to the Jacuzzi and a further sauna, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxation, with a fitness room also available for staying in shape between days on the slopes.

Chalet Orso also features a mezzanine area above the dining space, offering a wealth of entertainment options suited to all ages. A bar, jukebox, pinball machine, and table football offer the perfect setting for post-dinner fun, while for a quieter evening, the private cinema room provides the ideal spot for a family movie night.

Chalet Orso offers five bedrooms, sleeping up to 13 guests. Sophisticated wood features and plush furnishings create elegant alpine suites throughout, offering great flexibility for sleeping arrangements. Three of the four double bedrooms can be configured as twins, while a children’s room includes a double/twin bed alongside a double bed with an overhead single bunk. Every room enjoys luxurious en-suite facilities, with the master suite further benefiting from its own ethanol fireplace.

Guests also have access to a ski room with boot warmers, a garage with EV charging point, laundry facilities, and a lift serving all floors except the mezzanine level.

Chalet Orso connects via an interconnecting door with neighbouring Chalet Orca, allowing the two properties to be taken together as the impressive Chalet Les Ours, sleeping between 20 and 27 guests.

Rates are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 13 guests on a fully staffed basis, including the services of a professional chef, butler, and in-resort driver service. Food and drinks are charged separately.
